TransCanada Corporation Details: TransCanada Corporation completed an offering of 14,000,000 cumulative redeemable rate reset first preferred shares pursuant to a prospectus supplement dated March 4, 2010, to a shelf prospectus dated September 21, 2009, for gross proceeds to TransCanada of approxi- mately $350 million. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate led by Scotia Capital Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and including BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., TD Securities Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. and UBS Securities Canada Inc. (“PetroBakken”) acquired Result Energy Inc. (“Result”), a Calgary-based com- pany developing light oil properties in Alberta. The acquisition was completed pursuant to an arrangement agree- ment entered into on January 28, 2010, with 99.43% of Result shares voted approving the acquisition of Result of PetroBakken. PetroBakken acquired all of the outstanding shares of Result for approximately $438 million, inclu- sive of Result’s positive working capital. Date: Closed April 1, 2010.
