Details: Tahoe Resources Inc. closed its initial public offering of shares in Canada and the acqui- sition from affiliates of Goldcorp Inc. of the Escobal silver project in Guatemala. It also had its shares listed for trading on the TSX on June 8, 2010. Tahoe raised $348 million from the public offering through a syndicate of underwriters led by GMP Securities L.P. The acquisition cost of the Escobal project was US$505 million, which was paid by the issuance to the vendors of an aggregate of 43,686,667 shares of Tahoe, representing 40% of Tahoe’s issued and outstanding common shares on a fully diluted basis at closing, and through the payment to the vendors of US$253,329,708 in cash.
