It was a big move for Sigurdson, who enjoyed an illustrious career at Osler, which he joined as an associate in 1989. He made partner in 1993 and was managing partner of the NewYork office from 2000 to 2004 before returning toToronto to serve as manag- ing partner of the Bay Street firm from 2005 to 2009.
