Each of the entries below has been provided by a Canadian law firm involved in each deal. Recycling International Petroleum Products Inc. Details: Recycling International Petroleum Products Inc. announced that it had closed a convertible debenture financing raising C$1 million from private investors for the final validation testing of its technology with an independent team of process engineers and for general working capital. Date: Announced January 5, 2009. On the Deal: Lang Michener LLP acted for both parties in this transaction. Patrick Murray (corporate) acted for the private investors and Terry Peterman (corporate and commercial) acted for Recycling International Petroleum Products Inc. Prinoth Ltd. Details: Prinoth Ltd., an affiliate of Prinoth SpA and a member of Leitner Technologies Group, acquired Camoplast Inc. in a deal valued at $48.2 million. Date: Closed February 2, 2009. On the Deal: Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP represented both Prinoth and Leitner Technologies. Canadian Pacific Railway Limited Details: Canadian Pacific Railway Limited completed a public offering of common shares in Canada and the U.S. for gross proceeds of $510,825,000, underwritten by a syndicate led by Scotia Capital Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and Morgan Stanley Canada Inc. Date: Announced February 11, 2009. On the Deal: For Canadian Pacific Railway: Don Barnhardt, Assistant General Counsel.
